The Life and Breath

My Journey with Life and Breath

A friend introduced a course called Life and Breath to me in the year 2020. It was literally forced  upon me. The course was joined not in the right frame of mind and hence, every sentence  spoken by sir was opposed. This could be because everything was so new, and spiritual courses  were unfamiliar. Sir even now jokingly refers to those days calling me a “pest”.

The 5-day course ended, but no practice of any exercise or meditation was done. Then came  another 5-day camp at Chinmaya Vibhuti -Lonavala, and this time the course was joined by me  only to spend quality time with a newly acquired friend. There I met and made friends with a  few people who were co incidentally from my area and BINGO we formed a daily morning  exercise routine in the garden.

At first when we started practicing the breathing exercises, it was just to meet up with them.  Then, one senior lady practicing with us got completely cured of her asthma, in the sense that  she stopped all her medication. It was shocking because we all knew that she was not even  doing the exercises with perfection. That’s when it dawned on me that these breathing  exercises were magical. Slowly we started correcting our posture and breath. This practice soon  turned into something more than just having a good time with everyone.

The magic of these exercises was gripping, and before i knew it, all the Affirmations had been  memorised.

I was suffering from severe spondylitis. There was a persistent nagging pain in my shoulders  which was slowing down my daily routine. The doctor very sternly told me that operation was the  only recourse I had. Undergoing a surgery was too frightening. With Gods grace, under the  guidance of Sir and with the breathing exercises I got relief miraculously wirhin 2 days as  promised by sir. It seemed impossible but was a fact in my case.

Not only did this science help me treat my spondylitis, but also helped me with my mental  condition

Then lockdown happened, and the practice started online. The online practice was a life  saviour that was looked forward to each day as a respite from the depressing days spent at  home facing the unknown.

Never had there been such dedication towards anything from my end. Before I could decipher  what was happening, the course had me in its grip so much that it inspired me to take the  decision to undertake

the teachers training course with Sir.

This decision was not only a surprise for me but also my Family and close friends. But as the saying goes “when the student is ready, the guru appears”.

Slowly the challenges that life threw at me were getting easier to face . I started seeing things in  the right perceptive and taking it in my stride. The words of Sir always ring in my ears “YOU GET  WHAT YOU Deserve”. in other words it is just your KARMA.

I am ever greatful to Sir – my mentor, my friend, and the age-old right techniques of breathing  taught in OUR course.”
